Alternator Application Guide

15/16" battery post. Heavy duty hand wound high output stator. Heavy duty long life brushes. Heavy duty dual plane balanced rotor. Heavy duty bearings with high temperature seals and grease. Fifteen (15) press fit 60 amp diodes. Specially designed heavy duty regulator that produces higher output ratings; runs cooler than current industry standards. Regulator has ground fault and high voltage protection. GXL wire is standard on all harnesses. Standard OEM mounting in most applications. Weight: approximately 18 lbs. PennTex Industries recommends using a minimum of 2 gauge battery and ground wire. For maximum performance, route 2 gauge battery wire, or larger, from the alternator battery post directly to the positive stud of the battery. The ground wire from the alternator should also be a minimum of 2 gauge wire and be bolted directly to a chassis ground or to the negative side of the battery.
